Real Estate

Davisville Village was historically a residential area, mainly comprised of detached homes built during the 1920’s until the 1930’s. They were mainly English Cottage and Edwardian-style homes, built as attractive solid brick structures. A number of semi-detached homes, and apartment buildings also occupy the area, providing alternative and more affordable living options. In recent years, Davisville Village has undergone rapid condominium development, especially along Yonge St. The emergence of high-rise buildings has not only brought more population-density to the area, but has similarly brought with it the emergence of more restaurants, grocery stores, and cafes.

Lifestyle & Recreation

Main areas of recreation can be found on both Yonge St and Mount Pleasant Ave. The two streets offer plentiful options for restaurants, bakeries, specialty grocery stores, antique stores, and upscale home decorating stores.

Plenty of green-space can be found throughout the neighbourhood, servicing the various schools, families, and daycares in the area. Most notably, Davisville Park is a hub of recreation for local residents, housing six tennis courts, a baseball diamond, and plenty of trees and green-space.

Plenty of schooling options are available in the neighbourhood, making it a desirable place for young and growing families. Various private, public and catholic schooling options, alongside daycare services can be found throughout the neighbourhood, increasing its already desirable and accessible character. Some of the more known schools include: Toronto Prep Private School, Davisville Junior Public School, Northern Secondary School and Hodgson Senior Public School.

Being a centrally located neighbourhood, Davisville Village offers many commuting options.  Both Most Pleasant Rd and Yonge St offer quick and easy driving access into the downtown core.  Larger highways and expressways, like the 401 or the Don Valley Parkway are about a 15 minute drive away.

Both Davisville and Eglinton subway stations are within walking distance, regardless of your location in the neighbourhood.  Various bus routes also service the neighbourhood, all of which connect to the Yonge University Subway line within about 10 minutes.  The current construction of the Eglinton LRT will undoubtedly heighten the accessibility of this already central and accessible neighbourhood.
